Yoga has been a part of Emely's life since childhood. She has acquired the title of 500RYT yoga teacher in India through Yoga Alliance, which is an internationally approved organization.

Emely has been kitesurfing since 2011 and is a 2x Danish champion in Kitesurfing. 

In addition, she has an AP graduate in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. 

Emely has extensive teaching experience from all over the world in both yoga and kitesurfing. This has also given her a great travel experience.

Oceans Soul's founder Emely Freja attended her first yoga class even before she was born. It was with her mother for pregnant yoga. Her mother continued throughout her childhood to practice yoga and she always found it exciting and fun.

Over time, her mother decided to live out her dream as a yoga teacher and Emely immediately became a regular participant in her class.

 

In the early 20s, Emely was seriously knocked over by the power of yoga. She began a daily yoga practice, not only physical postures, but also pranayama breathing exercises as well as other branches of yoga. In 2015, she completed Yoga Alliance's international yoga teacher training of 200 hours and thereby obtained the title 200RYT. in 2023 she continued her yoga studies and went to India for her 300hrs. She now has the highest level and the title 500RYT.
The yoga continues to show Emely new paths and ways she can be the best version of herself.

 

Since 2014, she has traveled the world to experience new cultures, beautiful nature and find new and different inspiration for her yoga lifestyle.

 

With a previous broken back and damaged cruciate ligament, she knows the physical and mental challenges you can have and she endeavors that each position must be individualized and adapted to the body and mind in which it must be performed.

Emely is a former competitive swimmer and triathlete and when she saw a kitesurfer for the first time in 2011 she knew immediately that she had found her passion. She took advantage of every chance to get on the water both to enjoy the freedom of nature but also to improve her skills.

 

Emely is the 2020 and 2021 Danish champion in freestyle kitesurfing. She has several international kitesurfing instructor trainings behind her and extensive teaching experience for both beginners and advanced students.

 

Emely has been chasing the wind around the world since 2014 and has also acquired a great deal of knowledge about foreign destinations and different weather and wind conditions. In addition to being 2x Danish champion, Emely is also 2x Turkish champion in Kitesurfing and has several international rankings. 

Emely has worked as a coastal lifeguard for 8 seasons and in that connection has built up a great deal of knowledge of various weather and water conditions as well as knowledge of first aid also in water. Emely is also a trained SUP instructor through the Danish Sailing Union.
