Stand Up Paddle & Yoga Retreat på Møn

With Emely Freja/OceanSoul & Kesia Cohan /Møn Surf

For 4 years in a row, we invite you to a weekend filled with beautiful nature, nourishing new perspectives, flow, sisterhood and sea magic!
 

This year we are teaming up with the wonderful founder of Møn Surf Kesia Cohan to give you an unforgettable in-depth experience. Come along for a weekend of stand up paddle and yoga in Denmark's most unique nature.

The goal of the weekend is to give you renewed energy and strengthen you in your life. We want to give you a break from everyday stress and hustle and bustle in relaxing and nourishing surroundings. Most of all, we look forward to sharing our love for the sea and contributing to a deeper connection with mother earth. The retreat is for women only.

What to expect

SUP and yoga will be our primary activities and focus. The combination of yoga and SUP helps to connect us to nature, our inner self and to be present in the moment. You learn to feel confident on the water. At the same time, you get the right techniques to paddle effectively while using your whole body and the elements around you.

No previous experience with SUP or Yoga is required to participate - come as you are! We offer coaching for all levels and ages. In the last 3 years we have had a beautiful age range between 20-70 years! All equipment is also included. We have received registrations from siblings, friends mother and daughter and brave women who register on their own. We always look forward to the fantastic togetherness that is created at this retreat.

Program

The program is not 100% set as we will adapt to the weather to get the best out of the conditions*.

Friday

16-00- 17.00 arrival. Welcome! We offer a welcome drink while you have time to look around and enjoy the fantastic place.
17:00 We have welcome meeting and introduction.

17.00-18.30 Yoga session

19.00 Dinner in our beautiful house.

21.00 - 23.00 Relaxation - or swimming/hiking

Saturday

07.00 – 08.30 Yoga with Emely

08.30- 09.30 Healthy and delicious breakfast

10.00 – 12.00 SUP introductory course (location depends on weather conditions). You will learn basic paddling techniques as well as safety on open water. If you are not a beginner, you will also get tips on how to improve your technique and implement your body and breathing.

12.30 Lunch

13.30 – 15.30 The SUP trip continues (location depends on the weather) Alternatively, we will have a yoga session.

15.30 – 17.00 Sauna In Klintholm Harbor with fruit snack

17.00 – 18.30 Downtime, time to shower and relax

18.30 – 20.30 Dinner

20.30- 22.30 Hike at Møns Klint
 

 

Sunday

07.00 – 08.30 Yoga with Emely

08.30 – 09.30 breakfast

09.30 – 10.00 We pack up and leave the house

10.00 – 12.00 SUP and activity on the beach. Now you've tried it and know how to stabilize, balance and breathe on the board. So now it's time to have fun! We do some fun games and some yoga exercises on the boards

12.30 – 1.30pm Lunch on the beach

13.30 – 15.00 SUP free play / individual training. Anyone who wants to practice even more has the opportunity to get back into the water one last time - just yourself and the sea. You also have the chance to get tips and tricks for your SUP training and further travel with the water sport.

15.30 Time to say goodbye. Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend. See you on the water!

 


*NOTE!

Nature decides - and it is important that we listen. If the weather permits, we will take a SUP trip along the famous cliff. But if the weather is too wild, we will find an alternative route. There are lakes and secret, very special places that we use as a backup. It's fun and a good exercise to stand on a SUP in waves, so we'll probably have some good experiences. Mother Nature never disappoints.

Your instructors

Kesia Cohan

Kesia is originally from Norway and is the CO-founder of Møn Surf. She has 11 years of experience as a water sports instructor and camp manager. She has a background as an occupational therapist and several years of experience in organizing sports and activities for all levels. Surfing has played a huge role in her career and private life ever since she held a kite in her hands for the first time. Her loving and warm energy makes everyone feel comfortable - even if the element of water is not in your comfort zone.

Emely Freja

Emely Freja is a certificated Stand Up Paddle instructor through the Danish Sailing Union and has taught both in Denmark and abroad. She has worked eight seasons as a surf lifeguard and has extensive knowledge of weather and water conditions and also has a lot of experience with first aid in water. Emely is also 2 x Danish champion in kitesurfing. In 2015, she completed Yoga Alliance's 500-hour international yoga teacher training and thereby obtained the title 500RYT. Since 2014, she has traveled the world to experience new cultures, beautiful nature and find new and different inspiration for her yoga lifestyle.

Where will we live?

Our base for the weekend is perfectly located in the countryside between Høje Møn, Klintholm Harbor and Møns Klint. Yoga is enjoyed in the garden - with a view of the Baltic Sea and the hilly landscape towards Møns Klint. The perfect place for relaxation, SUP and Yoga. The house is a few hundred meters from Klintholm Harbor and 5 minutes' drive from Møns Klint.
